Government urged to curb climatic issues to save farmers

The director D$M group international limited, Kimuli Dorothy has urged government to come up with a solution to help farmers on the issue of curbing the climate and environment grievance.

Speaking to a mass at Hotel Africana in the 3rd Uganda national reference group meeting and book launch, Kimuli said that the government has to increase on aid in order to fulfill the needs of producers.

“Government does not know what to do in terms of controlling climate. Even kabanyoro researchers are confused” said kimuli.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Trade,Industry and Cooperatives and commissioner processing and marketing Dr Joshua Mutambi said that government is willing to help the producers since the level at which microfinances operate to help the producers is limited to a certain level.

The director SEATINI, Nalunga Jane said that the participants at the event will identity relevant policies where there is need for taking up certain recommendations of the study to kick start an advocacy campaign and engage with policy makers towards developing a policy framework.
