Environmental issues have been on national, regional and plurilateral policy agendas in developing and least developed countries before Paris Agreement, as they are on the frontline of climate change, environmental degradation and their economies mainly rely on environmental resources (agriculture, forestry, water, etc.). Environmental agreements negotiated by developing and least developed countries should leverage climate-resilient trading and social systems in pursuit of inclusive and sustainable development for people.
