Trade Facilitation: State of play of the EAC countries

According to the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement adopted at the Bali Ministerial Conference, LDCs and developing countries would have one year after entry into force of the agreement to self-declare the different categories of trade facilitation measures for which they would need more time (Category B) or technical assistance (Category C). In order to help EAC countries accurately report the implementation status in the respective categories, this paper examines the status of trade facilitation measures in EAC countries.
