The WTO Services waiver in favour of LDCs

This short note provides an overview of the Services Waiver for LDCs at the WTO, and arising opportunities for East African countries. In fact, the waiver could allow these countries to improve and expand upon their existing service sectors by identifying and securing markets of interest in the WTO membership. Strides could also be made in improving the efficiency of the domestic service suppliers while also increasing the foreign exchange earnings accrued from increased exports of services abroad.
