The Multilateral Trading System and Free Trade Agreements: The Case of the East African Community

This paper analyses WTO provisions with regards to Regional Trade Agreements, the WTO-RTA relationship, on-going negotiations and proposals tabled. In addition it provides recommendations on the way forward for the East Africa Community (EAC) with regard to this issue.
