Access to the Internet has changed the way we do business. Today, E-commerce has become a key method of cross-border trade, and its potential for SMEs in the developing world for accessing global markets is increasingly being emphasized. But what do the numbers say? To what extent does internet and E-commerce adoption by developing countries boost their export performance? Analyzing a panel dataset of recent bilateral trade flow between 30 developed and 21 middle- to low-income countries, this econometric study provides answer elements to this question.
