The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event, which provides a platform for participants to discuss the latest developments in world trade and to propose ways of enhancing the multilateral trading system.
This year’s Public Forum, entitled “Trade Beyond COVID-19: Building Resilience”, looked at the effects of the pandemic on trade and how the multilateral trading system can help build resilience to COVID-19 and future crises. Debates were organised under three subthemes: (i) Enhancing Resilience beyond COVID-19; (ii) Strengthening the Multilateral Trading System; and (iii) Collective Action towards Sustainable Trade.
