UNCTAD’s eCommerce Week is the leading forum for Ministers, senior government officials, CEOs and other business representatives, international organizations, development banks, academics and civil society to discuss the development opportunities and challenges associated with the digital economy. The 2022 edition, held under the theme “Data and Digitalization for Development”, puts a special emphasis on data and cross-border data flows and the crucial role they play in economic and social development.
The event offers a unique platform to: (i) discuss ways to reframe and broaden the international policy debate on harnessing cross-border flows of digital data through the development lens; (ii) hear from leading partners and stakeholders about critical challenges to harnessing data for value creation in the digital economy; and (iii) learn more about a whole-of-society approach to digital transformation.
