Regional Workshop on Investment Facilitation for Development: Latin America and the Caribbean

The objectives of this regional workshop are to: (i) Take stock of the state of play in the investment facilitation negotiations; (ii) Understand how these negotiations would interact with commitments contained in existing and future international agreements; (iii) Exchange views on the main issues at stake in the negotiations, in particular on some aspects of the “Easter text.”; (iv) Identify issue areas where further analytical work would be of interest to participants; and (v) Share views on how beneficiary countries approach investment facilitation (including policies undertaken at the national and regional level).
