Regional Workshop on Investment Facilitation for Development: Africa

The objectives of the regional workshop were to: (i) Take stock of the state of play in the negotiations; (ii) Understand how these negotiations would interact with commitments contained in existing and future international agreements, including the forthcoming Investment Protocol of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA); (iii) Exchange views on the main issues at stake in the negotiations, in particular on some aspects of the “Easter text”; (iv) Identify issue areas where further analytical work would be of interest to participants.
