This national seminar was organised under the Trade Advocacy Fund (TAF2+) WTO Umbrella Grant’s national-level work for Mexico, and aimed to conduct stakeholder consultations towards finalizing a research study which will: (i) undertake a situational analysis of the economic, social and policy dimensions of E-commerce in Mauritius; (ii) assess how Mauritius’s domestic E-commerce legal and regulatory frameworks compares to the emerging WTO E-commerce JSI framework; (iii) analyse the potential implications of the WTO E-commerce JSI for the country; and (iv) provide recommendations of national strategies and negotiating positions in relation to the E-commerce JSI.
