Joint Initiatives: Taking stock in light of COVID-19 Implications

This virtual seminar was the sixth and final within the series of Geneva seminars organised in 2020 under the UK Trade and Investment Advocacy Fund (TAF2+) WTO Umbrella Grant Project. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of developing and least developed countries on the WTO Joint Statement Initiatives (JSI) on e-commerce, investment facilitation for development and MSMEs, respectively. The seminar reviewed how the three initiatives have factored in the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis, by examining what are the implications of the pandemic on developing and least developed countries’ engagement processes, interests and positions in the three joint initiatives.
