Today’s International Youth Day celebrations are a unique opportunity to remind the world why we should take care of Africa’s young agro-entrepreneurs (“agri-preneurs”). That is, If we are to feed 9.7 billion people by 2050 despite climate change, they may be one of our best chances. Unfortunately, agri-business will remain largely unpopular among the youth unless appropriate policy actions help changing their mindsets. These include upgrading business education, unleashing finance, promoting ICT, optimising regulations, and easing access to land.
