World Food Day: By 2030, How Can Kenya Achieve Food Security?

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 aims to, among others, ending hunger and ensuring access by all people to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.

In Kenya, food insecurity remains a threat especially due to low agricultural productivity, poverty, high population growth rates and climate change effects among other causes. To this end, the Government is implementing policies and strategies to boost agricultural productivity, adapt to climate change effects, as well as promote value addition of agricultural produce.
